Mike Donila, reporter over at Big Metal Shed on the Hill by day and his investigative skills have labeled him “da career killer” as he is responsible for covering county government and he is unafraid to expose elected officials that shield or mislead.
By evening and/or night he is a blogger at his blog Screams From The Porch. This post about State Representative Julia Hurley, her dog and the Roane County Courthouse is hilarious. I suspect that Donila will not be on any “good list” of Representative Hurley but with Donila you either like him or you don’t.
Well, I don't think Donila's description of the resolutions that County Commission wanted to send to Nashville as “the county wants to tell….” is fair or accurate.
It's as if Donila is telling Commission and its constituents “you have NO RIGHT telling the governor or the general assembly what to do!”
I guess unlike Speaker O'Neil, Donila doesn't think “all politics is local” or that the citizens through their commission should be telling Nashville what it wants done.
Does Donila think it should all be centralized and we just HAVE to do what Nashville says?
Doesn't sound real democratic, does it?
And I guess you don't understand sarcasm, snark and all that.
You obviously don't read my blog, either, or you'd see the note on the main page: “All politics is local, and mostly ridiculous.”
It appears the comments on Hurley's “dog in the courthouse” are at least 10 to 1 against her. Ron Woody is well respected in Roane County and a close friend of Senator Yeagers….For Hurley to criticize Woody makes her look as bad as she did when she jumped on the State Trooper..The Roane County GOP leadership is finding a candidate to take her out in the primaries.
