Brooks is a former Elected Member of the Knox County School Board having served from 1992-1996 in District Eight. Brooks was an Elected State Representative from the 19th Legislative District in 103rd through the 109th General Assembly. Brooks served on the Knox County Retirement and Pension Board, 1987-1995. A Member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). A Member of the North East Knox Preservation Association. A Member of the East Knox Business and Professional Association. A Knoxville Civitan. Member of the Powell Business and Professional Association. Has belonged to numerous Knox County Republican Clubs. Served as a Past Advisory Board for Millertown Group Home. Is a Past member of Chamber of Commerce. Served on the United Way Allocations. A Member of Gideon’s International. A Member of the National Rifle Association. Serves as a Deacon Board Member of Union Baptist Church. Sunday School Teacher. A Member of Hall’s Business and Professional Association. Serves on the Carson Newman University Board of Trustees.
