Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs has (since 2019) Stones River Group working for him and Knox County Government as lobbyist in Nashville. Jacobs has and is continuing what other mayors before him have done.
What is your idea of county tax dollars being spent by our elected Mayor on a middle man to talk to our elected State Reps, State Senators, TN Governor and the Governors Cabinet Members assisting in getting Knox County what it needs?
At the Knox County Commissioners retreat yesterday, Mark Cate, Steven Susano and Chris Gobble of Stones River Group presented virtually for about 45 minutes.
The most interesting part, in my humble opinion was the part by Susano and Gobble about what they do for Knox County and the current legislation they are tracking, watch it here or below
Susano is the brother of Knox County Circuit Court Clerk Charles Susano, Jr.
Susano stated in the first of the presentation they are in contact with the Mayor and his staff weekly (if not more during legislative session) on what the Mayor’s priorities are. When asked by a Commissioner what they Mayors 1, 2 and 3 priorities are. The answer wasn’t as specific as I would have expected.
