As the ad on the top right reminds you, Breakout at the Plaza is July 24th in Downtown Knoxville at the Crowne Plaza. It is a fun night of music, dancing and dining to benefit Connect Ministries and I Am the Voice of the Voiceless.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for hospitality. Cash bars will be available. A delightful buffet dinner prepared by the hotel, is from 7-8 p.m., and the entertainment begins at 8 p.m. non-stop until 10 p.m.
Longtime R&B entertainer, Lee Willis, and veteran radio broadcaster, Hubert Smith, will co-emcee this benefit event.
Local stand-up comedian, Alex Stokes (aka The Beer Comedian) will tickle our funny bones, with his comedy routine. John Rutherford, Pro-Audio Mobile D J’s, will play classic R&B music, from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, for dancing and romancing on the large dance floor and Jeanine Fuller a vocalist, songwriter, entertainer & positive motivational personality. Fuller’s music is a mix of Jazz, Blues, Soul,Funk, R&B, Rock. Sometimes, a little classical. Fuller originally from Brooklyn, NY but has ties to various parts of Queens, Harlem and Long Island NY, NJ, NC and now makes her home in Knoxville, TN. Growing up Fuller was exposed to everything from gospel to classical, there’s no limit to Fuller. Fuller has an array of musical arenas, from recording work to musical theatre to classical recitals, chamber ensembles, cabaret, top 40 cover bands, soul/r&b bands jazz gospel ensembles, jazz ensembles, gospel choirs, live backup vocalist as well as lead and solo work and touring in Europe and parts of the U.S

Tickets are $75 individual, $135 per couple and a table of 8 of $500. Tickets can be purchased in person without a service charge at C.O.N.N.E.C.T. Ministries, located at 3615 MLK Jr., Avenue, or online via Eventbrite, here. No tickets will be sold at the door.
