This morning Knox County Commissioners Dr. Dasha Lundy and Courtney Durrett noticed a meeting at Shoney’s on Rutledge Pike in East Knoxville.

I can not pass up Shoney’s breakfast bar and there is multiple nostalgic memories of the Shoney’s on Rutledge Pike.
I remember when the Big Boy was standing on the sidewalk out at the corner of the building. Many meals of my youth were in that building and Mammaw always ordered the Slim Jim sandwich.
Commissioner Durrett had both her children with her, former TN State Rep. Rick Staples stopped by as well.
It was a great visit, good food as well as open, transparent government at its best
