Thursday Night, Concord Farragut Republican Club Packed with Speakers and Attendees

Thursday night the Concord Farragut Republican Club met for the October 2021 meeting. They met at the normal location of Fruition Cafe in Farragut. The Speakers were Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen, Knox County Law Director David Buuck and Former TN Republican Party Chair and WBIR political pundit Susan Richardson Williams.

Allen talked about crime and the various departments that she has created. She discussed the court activities of 2020 and 2021, the TN Supreme Court closed all courts in the state “The Tennessee Supreme Court offered the courts to remain open during the pandemic but restricted in-person matters to limited cases & left the determination to the judges”, during the pandemic. However, the courts while slower, still made progress in keeping the wheels of justice moving along.

Buuck talked about his department of 10 Attorneys and that they represent the county government in suits that are brought against the county. He was not able to discuss the recent Federal Judge order on the Knox County Schools mask mandate.

Richardson talked about recent TN Republican Party bylaw changes, watch it here or below. The ability to once again have Knox County Republican Party organized by voting precincts and The City of Knoxville Council races being non partisan and a group of “republican or conservatives” running against the incumbents as partisan, watch it here or below.
