Knox, Loudon and Blount Election 2022 – Qualifying Petitions

Today resulted in more activity at the Knox. Loudon and Blount Counties Election Commissions regarding  qualifying petitions for the May 3, 2022 Republican and Democrat Primaries.

In Knox County, Bob Fischer picked up a petition for Knox County Mayor as a Democrat candidate. Also, in a bit of a head turner, Sarah Keith (who had applied to the Knox County Commission for the General Sessions Judge Division II earlier this month) She has announced for Division II, she has a Facebook page for Division II, check it out here and if she changes it, the screen shot is just below this paragraph. Anyway, she picked up a Democrat petition for Division II BUT the perplexing one is she also picked up a Democrat petition for General Sessions Judge, Division I. Which would pit her challenging Judge Chuck Cerny, General Sessions Division I, but hey if she wants to be for one before she was for another that is her prerogative, I reckon.

In Loudon County does not appear to be anything new today.

In Blount County, Trustee Scott Graves turned in his Republican petition. Rick Carver turned in his County Commission District 5, Seat B Republican petition.

Picking up petitions were: Jeff Jopling for County Commission District 8, Seat B as a Republican, Dyran Bledsoe for County Commission District 2, Seat B as a Republican, Diane Bain for County School Board District 3 as a Republican and Dawn Johnson Reagan for County Commission District 4, Seat B as a Republican
