How Has Armstrong Changed?

Several law enforcement employees have Richard Bud Armstrong signs in their personal yards, it is their right of free speech. However, back in 2018, when Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, Knox County Sheriff Tom “Spanky” Spangler, at Large County Commissioner’s Larsen Jay and Justin Biggs came into office.

Armstrong as law director was suing the Knox County Retirement and Pension Board over the Knox County UOPP (Uniformed Officers Pension Plan). The Mayor, Sheriff and Majority of Commissioners instructed the Law Director to stop the lawsuit and they settled the dispute.

Shortly thereafter a few citizens sued and at last check the issue is still waiting for the citizens Attorney to act. Anyway, now Armstrong who wanted to reduce the benefits upon retirement to uniformed officers is running in a contested primary challenging Chancellor Clarence “Eddie” Pridemore and Experienced Knoxville Attorney R. Deno Cole. Armstrong who waged war on gutting the officers pension plan is now wanting to be the jurist that can do just that.  Are these officers confused or do they just not care how they get treated?

Judge Clarence PRIDEMORE is without question the only truly qualified and experienced man for the Chancellor Part 2 position. Judge Pridemore supports all of our men and women in blue snd believes that we all need to support our greatest defenders against danger ! He has heard over 10,000 cases during his tenure on the bench snd has not generated one negative comment, how many can say that! Please let’s keep Judge PRIDEMORE in office and keep justice in our courts!’
