Incoming Knox County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jon Rysewyk announced today a transition team comprised of educators, parents, and community leaders. The transition team will work with Dr. Rysewyk over the coming weeks to offer input and counsel as Knox County Schools prepares for the June 4 leadership transition.
“As we build a vision for the future, this group of leaders will be instrumental in helping our team serve Knox County students with excellence,” Dr. Rysewyk said. “I’m grateful to each leader who has agreed to serve.”
The transition team will meet several times prior to June and assist Dr. Rysewyk in developing ideas in key areas, including literacy, career and technical education, teacher recruitment, and providing innovative supports for all students.
“I’m thrilled to serve on this transition team,” said Krissy DeAlejandro, executive director of tnAchieves and a Knox County Schools parent. “Knox County will be most successful when we are all working together to help students thrive.”
