Yesterday morning, United States Senator Bill Hagerty stopped in Knoxville to meet with 50 Business and Community Leaders as a stop on his annual Tennessee Economic Development Tour.
Elected Officials present were Knox County Glenn Jacobs (who acted as Master of Ceremonies), Congressman Tim Burchett, State Senators Becky Massey and Dr. Richard Briggs, State Representatives Justin Lafferty and Jason Zachary, Knox County Commissioners Kyle Ward, Larsen Jay and Commissioner-Elect Gina Oster. TN Republican State Executive Committeeman-Elect District 5 Tim Hutchison and myself, TN Republican State Executive Committeeman District 6 Brian Hornback. Also, many Business Leaders including Entrepreneur Jordan Mollenhour with many others.
The meeting itself was closed to the press, for that reason I did not record or report what was said. I will report that I asked Senator Hagerty about the Republican Senate Challenger that I am watching in the State of Washington if you can send a buck or a thousand to Tiffany Smiley, please do. Let’s send liberal Democrat Patty Murray back to the far Northwest.
I served a dual role and when he met with the media before he left for Alcoa, TN. I joined WVLT and WATE and recorded the answers and questions at the media avail. I present them below.
