Earlier this morning, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a landlord and tenant dispute at an apartment at 100 Brentway Circle. As officers and maintenance staff were at the door of the apartment, the resident fired two shots from inside the apartment at the door. KPD crisis negotiators were requested to the scene at approximately noon. After extensive negotiations, the resident voluntarily exited the apartment and was taken into custody without further issue. The resident was identified as Greg Swanson, age 62. Charges are pending. There were no other occupants inside of the apartment and no injuries were reported in the incident.
