At 1:30 p.m. the new Knox County Commission met to re-organize, the conventional wisdom said that Richie Beeler would be Chair and Terry Hill would be Vice Chair. As nominations were made, Dr. Dasha Lundy nominated Courtney Durrett. Kyle Ward nominated Beeler. As the votes went, Lundy, Durrett, Gina Oster, Hill, Rhonda Lee and Kim Frazier voted Durrett. Ward, John Schoonmaker, Carson Dailey and Larsen Jay voted Beeler. Beeler passed initially and when Durrett had six votes, a majority to be Chair. Beeler changed his pass to Durrett. Watch it here.
Commissioner Hill was nominated for Vice Chair and was elected by acclamation, no opposition.
Girl power stomps the Good Ole Boy’s Club. Beeler gets kicked to the curb. Richie Beeler is a two faced crook. A four flusher. Nice to see Beeler gets his just deserves.
