Tennessee Journal reports today that yesterday October 29, 2022 Mrs. Honey Alexander, wife of former United States Senator, former Governor Lamar Alexander’s wife passed away. They report that she passed at their home in Blount County, TN. The Alexander’s have been married for 53 years.
The last time I recall talking with her was at a lunch in 2014 as Lamar kicked off his last General Election campaign. My post from that event is here.
Honey was quiet, always supportive and was the lady that complimented the Senator, Governor, University President, United States Secretary of Education.
She will be missed by Lamar and the family for sure. But all of Tennessee lost a treasure yesterday with her passing. However, she and their son Drew are now together again.
