Today the Knox County Republican Party reorganized for 2023-2025 and elected new Officers.
Dr. Clarence Sexton of Temple Baptist Church and The Crown College of the Bible Welcome and Prayer at the beginning of the reorganization here
Buddy Burkhardt is the Chairman with 227 votes to Keith Lyons 187. Burkhardt speech here.
Janis Crye is the Vice Chair with 217 votes to former School Board candidate Sherri Garrett’s 180. Crye speech is here.
Martin Ammons won a very close Treasurer election with 191 votes to Kevin Teeters 185. Ammons speech is here.
Christy Gentry won Vice Treasurer 219 to Rob Gray’s 144. Gentry speech is here
Jeremy Coffey won Secretary 232 votes to Gary Loe’s 148. Coffey speech is here.
The candidates with the shortest speeches were victorious with the exception of Ammons for Treasurer . Future candidates should keep that in mind.
