The 2023 City of Knoxville Election has begun, I welcome Tim Hill, Knoxville City Council at Large Seat C to the website.
Tim Hill is a Knoxville native and co-founder and president of Hatcher-Hill Properties, a real estate development, brokerage and asset management firm based in Knoxville.
Founded in 2004, Hatcher-Hill Properties develops commercial and mixed-use properties in the Knoxville region. The company’s primary focus is historic preservation, revitalization of commercial buildings and business recruitment. Previously, Tim worked for 16 years as an executive and partner in various transportation and logistics companies.
Tim is passionate about protecting neighborhoods and communities. He serves as board chair for the Knoxville-Knox County Planning Commission, and as a commissioner, he strives to encourage and ensure reasonable and appropriate land uses and apply planning standards that are equitable and beneficial to the entire community.
Tim’s impact in revitalization and preservation is evident all over Knoxville, including downtown, such as the JC Penney building, former S&W Cafeteria building on Gay Street and properties in Market Square and the Old City.
Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education social science from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville. Tim and his wife, Deanna, are active members at Heart and Soul Church and have two daughters, Kendall and Carsen, a son-in-law, Jesse, and two granddaughters, Josie and Sunny. Their family pets are Winnie (English Lab) and Buttermilk, Biscuit and Gravy (miniature donkeys).
