On Wednesday October 18 (yes in two days) the Early Voting begins for the City of Knoxville November 7 General Election.
Councilwoman Lynne Fugate at Large Seat A
R. Bentley Marlow and Debbie Helsley at Large Seat B
Councilwoman Amelia Parker and Tim Hill at Large Seat C
all met in the last forum in the West High School Auditorium tonight.
Councilman Charles Thomas District 5 did not attend. He was unopposed in the Primary and General Election and Moderator Scott Barker, Co-Partner of Compass Knox said that Thomas said he did not want to confuse the process.
tonight 37 people attended, Knoxville Municipal Judge John Rosson arrival made the attendance one more than the three dozen that attended last weeks Municipal Judge forum.
Last week I noticed Rosson’s opponent checking his phone during the forum as his Campaign Manager appeared to be sending messages. Tonight, Marlow’s opponent with the same campaign manager however, it was far more obvious that they were both on their phones before and after questions. Marlow’s opponent even forcing her phone over to Fugate a few times.
The best campaign tactic ever at a League of Women Voters forum, no campaign material can be put out until the program has ended. When i got back there Marlow had Ham n Goody’s Lemon Frosted cookies and Publix Sugar Cookies with Butter Cream frosting with the message Vote Marlow Seat B. BRILLIANT
