Yesterday, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison announced (click here or here) they will move the world headquarters to Nashville, TN from Austin, Texas which originally began in the Silicon Valley.
Isn’t this the type of business that Midway Business Park was suppose to attract? Did Knoxville, Knox County know about Oracle? Were our Chamber Partnership folk th aware of a RFI?
I thought that Midway Business Park was going to be different than Forks of the River Industrial Park or Eastbridge Business Park, it was not going to be manufacturing?
i realize those promises to Midway neighbors predates Mayor Jacobs or Chamber CEO Mike Odom but were those commitments known?
