On Monday May 6 the Knox County School Board will discuss in work session two Resolutions and on Thursday May 9 they will vote.
I have it on good authority that Vice Chair Steve Triplett (ban books guy) will not be in attendance on Thursday. So, getting one or both Resolutions to a vote of 5 may be difficult.
A few days ago, I published Board Member Kristy’s Resolution, here.
Of course, one reasonable person could assume Kat Bike’s Resolution would be in stronger language, anti police, anti State Government. After all Bike has in the past, retweeted Defund the Police tweet.
Interesting, if I recall correctly, when Kat Bike took the Oath of Office for School Board, she took the oath on a TCA (TN Code Annotated) book. Why is she so opposed to State Laws, if she used a book of state laws to take her oath of office?
Anyway, here is Kat Bike’s Resolution
Below is Kristi Kristy’s Resolution
What Resolution will Knox Schools Director of Schools Dr. Rysewyk recommend? Politically the Board is divided. Republicans Kristy, Susan Horn, Chair Betsy Henderson, Vice Chair Triplett and Travis Wright. The Democrats or Independents are Dr. John Butler, Jennifer Owen (the Independent), Daniel Watson and Kat Bike.
So on Thursday it will be 4 Republicans and 4 Democrats. Can or will one flip to support one Resolution? Could the Board pass both Resolutions?
