Legacy Parks Foundation Accepts Land Donation from Thunder Mountain Properties LLC

This morning Joe Mack, Director of Knox County Parks and Recreation along with Carol Evans, Director of Legacy Parks Foundation and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs and Commissioner Carson Dailey announced that Thunder Mountain Properties, LLC (Chris Arnold and Mike Malecot) had donated 100 plus acres to be preserved for a future Bower Field. However, it was said today that the current Bower Field would continue in its current location for 6-7 years or more.

Many taxpaying property owners and citizens of Dry Hollow Community are cautiously suspect as the current lease for the current location can be terminated at any time.

County Commission candidate Matthew Park was in attendance at today’a press conference. Also in attendance were Knox County Commissioner at Large Kim Frazier and Knox County Commissioner Second District Courtney Durrett.

Here is the Press Conference in it’s entirety held in the parking lot of Valley Grove Baptist Church located at 9000 Sevierville Pike in deep South Knox County.
