Every election in the City of Knoxville, candidates complain about the Public Service Department pulling political signs placed in the right of way.
Today, en route to meet with my friend Walt for lunch. I noticed while at red lights along Sutherland Avenue this large League of Women Voters signs, out of compliance.
After my lunch at Emma’s Southern Cooking at Sutherland and Hollywood, i notice Public Service had come by and removed the sign. They still have to discover the Liberty and Concord ones.
After an afternoon of work, I will say there is one on Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. between Summit Hill and Vine Middle and one on Magnolia near Magnolia Avenue Methodist Church, both on and in the right of way. Also, there is this one at Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue and Chestnut.
Come on League of Women Voters, we dont need more generic political signs.
