In Thursday’s election was the first for the fill-in Knox Dem Chair Stuart Hohl, the 2022 rejected and failed Knox County Commission candidate in the County’s Third District. You remember, former Dem Chair Matt Shears decided to pull up stakes and move to North Carolina. I have neither confirmed nor unconfirmed that Shears left due to the population boom from individuals and families from all over the country moving to Tennessee or whether he bolted from Knox County due to the red wall of Republican domination in Tennessee.
The first lie the Knox Dems social media portrayed is the post below featuring the Extreme Socialist Liberal School Board Member Kat Bike (formerly Katherine Jamison) on June 6, 2024 the vote was 4 YES (Republican Board Members Horn, Triplett, Wright and Kristy) 2 NO (Democrat Board Members Owen and Bike) 2 Pass (Democrat Board Members Dr. Butler and Watson) 1 Absent (Republican Board Chair Henderson) The motion failed because it was deadlocked with only 8 members present BUT two Democrats weaseled out with a pass. Then on July 11, 2024 with all 9 board members present the board passed Board of Education Policy I-212 “Reconsideration of Instructional Materials and Textbooks” as amended. It passed 9-0 Unanimously……YES, Bike along with her three Democrat colleagues concurred with their 5 Republican colleagues. Now in the Third School Board District, the current lame duck one term Liberal School Board Member Daniel Watson endorsed the Extreme Socialist Liberal Democrat Candidate.
So imagine the Surprise (screenshot below) when Knox Dems announce that the slim 258 vote win of thier extreme socialist liberal nominee in beating the Republican nominee was a Red to Blue flip. While both sides can surely agree Watson is an extreme socialist liberal.
This third district school board election was the first partisan School Board election since the law changed about three years ago. In reviewing how we got here, back in 1992 with the passage of TN Governor Lamar Alexander‘s “Better Education Plan”, School Board’s became non partisan and Superintendent of Schools became appointed by School Boards instead of a partisan elected positions as they were before 1992. Three years ago the School Boards became partisan (because the state legislature changed the law, madating partisan School Board elections) and this was the second and last set of seats in Knox County to be partisan elected. I can be safe in my opinion that the Knox County Republican Party does not recognize Watson as a board member affiliated with the party and that Watson would not affiliate with the Knox County Republican Party. So, there was no flip, it is still represented by an extreme socialist liberal.
Lastly, the Knox Dems boast about beating back Moms for Liberty, a splinter political group (my opinion, feel free to make it your own). (screenshot below)
Interestingly the group MFL endorsed the Primary Challenger of the Republican nominee who lost to the Republican nominee in the March 5, 2024 Republican Primary. The primary loser went on to endorse the Democrat candidate. (screenshot below) Thus, a reasonable person could infer and conclude that Knox Dems and the Democrat candidate worked with the Republican loser to retain the seat with an extreme, socialist liberal board member.
It is interesting that I am listed appropriately as non-partisan when it suits the narrative and incorrectly as a Democrat when it suits the narrative, but it is hilarious that the latter happens in a post about the “truth.”
“Reconsideration of Instructional Materials” is a policy on allowing parents to challenge classroom materials. It is not a policy about library books. You are conflating two different policies. (Ms. Bike was not wrong.)

I am told by sources that you told former Knox Dem Chair Matt Shears you were not running at all. I seem to recall from sources that you were seeking the Democrat database that you had used in the past, thus you were a Democrat when it was a non partisan position.
I respect the questions you asked during your term…. the Democrat party under Stuart Hohl with Harris and Waltz will be a very socialist democrat regime. As for the lies the Democrat and the Democrat nominee’s people in District 3 repeated about the Republican nominee along with the losing Republican primary loser, speaks more to her and Stuart and the new regime of the Knox Dems.
