Back about 11 months ago, September 2023, the residents along S. Northshore Road and Choto Road. The Jefferson Park and Montgomery Cove residential communities fought 55 townhomes of “affordable housing”. The Developer Dominion Group walked away. Those 55 townhomes are now 47 affordable housing rental units at 1645 Ebenezer Rd., property south of the intersection of Bluegrass Road and Ebenezer Road.

Earlier this week, ground was being turned on the property, that borders the northern property line of Farmington subdivision and the eastern border of Summerhill Dr. residences.
This evening KGIS shows the change of property from the previous owner Bluegrass Apartment Partners, LLC that purchased the property for $700,000 in 2022 to The Health Educational and Housing Facility Board of the County of Knox on July 23, 2024 for what a source informs me is $1,400,000. The Board is a Board of the Industrial Development Board. A Board with the Knoxville Chamber. No member of the board is a Knox County Government Official.
