Center City Conservatives Republican Club Host State Rep. Elaine Davis for September

Last Thursday, September 26 the Center City Conservatives Republican Club met and hosted State Rep. Elaine Davis of TN House District 18 (part of Knox). More than 24 individuals were in attendance. I (Brian Hornback) first met Elaine Davis back in 2001-2003 when she would attend the Knox County School Board Meetings advocating for Nurses to be in the schools to help administer and care for diabetic students. I was an elected member of the School Board and served one year as Vice Chairman.

Prior to Rep. Davis the club discussed the City of Knoxville #1 and #2 Referendum questions on the November 5, 2024 City of Knoxville ballot. The club has voted to spend money on signs opposing the #2 question. (more on #2 coming to the blog before Early Voting begins on October 16, 2024)

Rep. Davis talked extensively about her first term in Nashville, legislation and the dramatic antics and tactics (editorial words) surrounding the legislative session. Rep. Davis is up for election on Tuesday November 5, with Early Voting October 16-31. She is being challenged by a Democrat.

Next month, Thursday October 24 at 6:30 pm at the Marble City Baptist Church we will host Republican Rick Scarbrough, candidate for TN State House District 33.

The Center City Conservatives Republican Club are actively adopting Hollywood Road from Sutherland Avenue to Lonas Dr. Our first clean up day will be on Saturday October 26, 2024. If you would like to assist please contact me at brianatbrianhornbackdotcom
