On Monday December 31, 2012 Retired Knox County Sheriffs Officer David Siedler passed away. Siedler served the department for 22 years before retirement. He leaves his wife Becky Bell Siedler and their son Jonathan Thomas “JT” and three other children, sons Joshua David and Nicholas Ryan and daughter Hannah Elizabeth. Dave was a good man that always had a smile and was willing to lend a hand to anything that would help the community. He was very active in the Karns Republican Club. Siedler will be missed.
Also, on Monday Mildred Buffler passed away. Buffler an active Democrat in Knox County worked tirelessly for the cause of Democrats. She held every position within the Knox County Democrat Womens Club including the position of Chairman of the Knox County Democrat Party. She was honored when the Mildred Buffler Democratic Woman’s Day Club was established in 2001.
