Are you frustrated with the current state of affairs in our national goverance, state goveranace or even the local affairs of Knox County? Are you happy and content with the status quo of our political situations? Either way now is the time to get involved in the local Knox County Republican Party.
The Knox County Republican Party reorganizes every two years. 2013 is the time. First, on January 17, 2013 at 7 p.m. at your local precinct (look at your voter registration card or contact the Knox County Election Commission and ask for your specific precinct) will reorganize. Each precinct has a specfic number of delegates based on the number of voters in past elections. So, show up and help elect the Officers and become a delegate of your local precinct.
Once, you are a delegate. You then get to vote at the Knox County Republican Party reorganization. That reorganization will be held at Central High School on February 2 at 10 a.m. There are four candidates running for Chairman. Longtime Republican activists Buddy Burkhardt, John Gabriel and TN GOP State Excutive Committeeman Ken Gross. Also, former Republican County Commission candidate Ruth Kuhlman who lost to former Democrat County Commissioner and now City Councilman Finbarr Saunders is running as well.
