Slightly elected Knox County Republican Party Chair Ruth Kuhlman continued her reign of terror tonight by packing the Red Lobster on Kingston Pike in West Knoxville with members of her immediate and extended family and individuals that have never been seen before and one attendee at the meeting said “would never be seen again”
Kuhlman wanted to put Alexander Waters in as Vice Chair of the club. Waters a “Johnny Come Lately” who coordinated the failed Romney/Ryan campaign, according to several activists that said he was only around when the television cameras were on. Sally Absher, TN Republican State Executive Committeewoman was also nominated. Absher has won an election by the voters. Something Kuhlman and Waters have not accomplished in their lifetimes.
Former West Knox Republican Club Chair John Gabriel motioned to disallow Waters from consideration (he was NOT a member of the club at the time of nomination) also to disallow folks that joined tonight from voting. The term “carpetbaggers” may have been used. Knox County Republican Party Treasurer Nick McBride spoke to the clubs bylaws. Weekly throw away free newsprint publisher Steve Hunley (who resigned from the Gibbs Republican Precinct Committee a year ago) and is not a member of the Knox County Republican Executive Committee was present tonight supporting Waters as he is Kuhlman’s BIGGEST fan.
Some young lady spoke of the coming generation, a few people in the audience murmured “take the drama down” It was described as “rough and tumble, old school”. Joy McCroskey, the Criminal Court Clerk that tried to rescind the drivers license of over 1200 citizens in one full report wanted to “welcome everyone tonight”. Some in the crowd channeling Donald Trump were saying “Joy, You Are FIRED”!
There were at least 4 motions shouted out as an observer reported “total chaos and discord” broke out. The motion to not allow new members to vote tonight on the floor. FAILED. Apparently, the new members voted to allow themselves to vote.
The Second Amendment Speaker was placed on the back burner requiring him to speak while the written ballots were counted. The votes were announced Waters 59 Absher 19. So, Kuhlman continued and continues her reign of being a divider and nothing close to a uniter.
