Elkay Manufacturing Co is featured here in today’s Wall Street Journal with a story of the remaking / retooling of the water fountain. I am so ready for this model. I carry a plastic reusable water bottle and the Tervis cups, so this move is adjusting to my lifestyle.
Remember this?
Now check this out.
Here is the link to the Elkay EzH20. Hopefully Knox County Schools have not purchased water fountains for the NEW Southwest Knox County Elementary School yet. Get these refilling stations and give every student and staff member their own reusable water bottle at the beginning of the year and PRESTO, fewer colds, illnesses and a reduction of waste. Just like Muhlenburg College in Allentown, PA (Read the WSJ article).
According to the story, Elkay is not the only one manufacturing and selling water refilling stations. Apparently, Haws Corp and Oasis International have as well.
First of all, I am glad that you like the bottle refilling stations. It is great to see how these products have been gaining traction as the focus on sustainable initiatives continues to grow. I actually work for Elkay (but work out of my home just about 30 minutes from Knoxville). The EZH2O Bottle Filling Stations include a counter, referred to as the Green Ticker(TM), which displays the count of plastic water bottles saved from entering the waste stream.
