I have had a couple people ask about my belief on the current state of the Knox County Republican Party and it’s current leadership. For the most part the current Chair has settled into the role and appears to have calmed down a bit. I am slowly forgetting about 2006, when I was the Knox County Republican Party Chairman, hitting the pavement everyday to first elect the Knox County ticket and then from August until November 2006 I put alot of blood and sweat into the Jim Bryson for Governor and Bob Corker for U.S. Senate campaign. With Corker we were facing the Ford family machine of Memphis and the current Republican Chair had a Harold Ford sign in her yard on Kingston Pike. Now, I believe everyone can have a conversion. However, she has never explained her conversion. I hope she is a true believer in the cause of small government, lower taxes and limited oversight.
