Last night the Knox County Republican Party Chair and West Knox Republican Club President sent an email to the other officers of the West Knox Republican Club. Alexander Waters, the Vice President of the club should assume the Presidency upon the departure.
As you all know, I have been holding down two positions within the GOP since January. It has become a very tiresome job trying to juggle both duties plus my family.
I had planned on doing this a lot sooner, but due to the length of time it took to get the bylaws approved, I had to delay this. So, the July meeting will be my last meeting as President of the WKRC. I just can not continue doing both. I have 11 set meetings a month plus lunch meetings, bi-monthly meetings, quarterly meetings, and so on. That does not include my personal life of taking care of my grandson four days a week and my family and husband. I hope you will understand. I have enjoyed working with you all. We have had our disagreements, but we worked through them. I wish the club all the success in the world and I will continue attending every month. If there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to ever contact me. I will help in assisting whoever is elected in my position with what their duties consist of and hand over the bell and flag.Again, it has been a pleasure.

Chair, Knox County GOP
I always find it perplexing when people campaign for something and then whine about the time it requires…she knew of her current position’s requirement when she took the second job I would certainly hope!…I don’t think it bodes well for the party leadership when poor analytic judgement is put on display.
