Jack McElroy points out here a few things about a possible Knox County Commission appointment of Craig Leuthold to the Knox County Trustee position. There is a rare occasion where McElroy and I agree on something and this is one of them. However, I would like to add one additional thing that McElroy missed.
Craig Leuthold’s father Frank is the Campaign Treasurer for County Commissioner Dr. Richard Briggs campaign challenging State Senator Stacey Campfield. The first fundraiser was at Bob Cross‘s home. The Bob Cross that invested the money for the county retirement board especially when Frank Leuthold was the longtime serving Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Knox County Commission.
Dr. Briggs should abstain from voting for an appointment that would pay $110,000 a year and create a constituency for an incumbent to run for election in 2014 for the son of his Campaign Treasurer.
