Knoxville Police Chief David Rausch is doing his best in trying to curb crime in the city. He asked Mayor Rogero for 40 additional officers just a few months ago. In her proposed 2013-2014 budget, she did NOT fund the 40 additional officers.
Instead she secures a purchase of the McClung Warehouse Buildings because the buildings are ugly to people driving by on I-40. Nevermind that Knoxville has 15 homocides this year already.
She has now forced Chief Rausch to beg the citizenary to become the police informants. Too bad, the Mayor didn’t recognize the expertise of Knoxville’s Police Chief. Maybe next year? Probably NOT!
