I remember hearing as a child, “don’t run with scissors”. As a parent, I have said that to my children and other children as well. On Thursday when the Knox County leaders had the ribbon cutting for the New Southwest Elementary School, I mean the Northshore Elementary School I thought this was kinda risky behavior.

But then on Friday at the Carter Elementary School ribbon cutting it was clearly a risky behavior.

If I were in charge, I would have let the kids cut the ribbon. With safety scissors of course.
