My phone has gone off three times, from three individual people since the Halls Republican Club ended this evening. It seems that the Knox County Republican Chair verbally attacked Ray Mead, a Young Republican leader. First, she was overheard to say that she had confirmed that Mead was the Young Republican source for BrianHornback.Com (Note: the one and only time I talked to the guy was when he called to tell me that the Knox Co Republican Chair authored a fundraising letter, the update that came from that one and only conversation is located here)
Mead was recently elected as one of three Vice President’s of the TN Young Republican Federation. In addition, he serves as Vice President of the Knox County Young Republicans and last Monday he was elected UNANIMOUSLY as Vice President of the West Knox Republican Club.
The Knox County Republican Chair was overheard telling Mead that if he knew what was good for him that you would resign as Vice President of the local YR’s and West Knox Repblican Club. She was overheard telling Mead that she had already ensured that he was black balled by the money in the party. She was overheard telling him that he needs to quit begging people for money (for the YR’s) that they had gotten enough.
She was overheard informing him that when he attends local clubs that he should not stand up and be recognized as a state republican official as his state Vice President position with the TN Young Republican Federation is not a state position.
