Today from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. Howard and Kenny Phillips threw open the doors of Powell Auction and hosted another successful bologna cutting. This one was to kickoff the campaign of Bob Thomas, Candidate for County Commission at Large.
I don’t believe that I have missed a Powell Auction bologna cutting in about the past 8-10 years. This one had the Chillbillies providing music and Con Hunley sang a tune or two. Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey, Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett and Knox County Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones all spoke. Ed Brantley was the Master of Ceremonies.
Senator Stacey Campfield was present, no sign of his Primary announced candidate.
