Knoxville’s oldest newspaper The Knoxville Journal is struggling to keep it’s doors open.
Reportedly on Thursday all writers were put on leave. Supposedly, the paper is still trying to continue to put out some semblance of a paper together. Unlike most of our weekly papers that are free. The Knoxville Journal still operates as a general circulation, meaning that it cost a few cents to purchase.
Several years ago, I had a stint as a contributing author joining the ranks of alumni of The Knoxville Journal. So, it is with great sadness to see it continue to struggle.
