Democrat Primary May 6, 2014 Only One Race for a Rumble

On May 6, 2014 there are a few Democrats but all the races are uncontested except one. Here is the rundown.

Incumbent Circuit Court Judge Div. II is unopposed in the Primary. But he will have a race in the August 7, 2014 General election.

Fourth Circuit Court Judge is the one race to have a Democrat rumble. Attorney Daniel Kidd and David L. Valone will face off in the May 6 Democrat primary. No rest for the weary, they must face the winner of the Republican primary in the August 7, 2014 General Election.

Incumbent Chancellor Div. II Daryl R. Fansler will be unopposed in the Democrat primary but will face a Republican in the August 7 General election race.

Assistant District Attorney Leland L. Price is unopposed in his bed for Criminal Court Judge Div. III in the Democrat primary. He will face a Republican in the August 7 General Election.

James Berrier a Democrat is unopposed in the Democrat Primary for Trustee. He will face the winner of the Republican primary in the August 7 General Election.

George T. Underwood, Jr. (Who has run for a different office once or twice, law director I think) is unopposed for General Sessions Court Judge Div. III in the August 7 General Election he will face Incumbent General Sessions Judge Div. III Patricia Hall Long. Why he is challenging the one female of the five divisions of General Sessions Court is perplexing to me.

William Mike Padgett is unopposed in the Democrat Primary for County Clerk. He will face the Incumbent Republican in the August 7 General Election.

That’s it. School Board races are supposedly non partisan.
