Tonight the normal cast of characters showed up attempting to garnering Republican votes for the Early Voting that begins Wednesday April 16, 2014.
The debate (ok everybody got 5 or so minutes) was with the three candidates for Knox County Criminal Court Clerk. Whichever one wins is the next clerk. Because apparently there isn’t a qualified Democrat in Knox County to be Criminal Court Clerk. Because the Democrat party of Knox County has fielded a candidate.
Mike Hammond started out with the story of the current state of the office. He talked about the lady who was detained in Georgia due to clerical error and discussed many ideas he has for reorganizing and changing the current comedy of errors that has plagued Current Clerk McCroskey.
Judson Davis spoke on behalf of Candidate Jason Hunnicutt that had a family situation in Nashville. Davis said that he believed he supports a qualified candidate that is ready to be clerk.
Candidate Steve Williams got up and discussed some of the comedy of errors that have gotten Knox County into the mess we find the office in. He passionately defended lawyers and members of the legal community which includes Judges.
