WBIR’s Inside TN was set to host both Incumbent Gloria Deathridge and her challenger Marshall Walker on Thursday to be aired today. Sources inform me that Walker assured WBIR personnel that he would attend. When Thursday rolled around Walker was a no show. So they rolled with Robin Wilhoit as host, Don Bosch and Elaine Davis as panelist.
I do not have a favorite or care who wins in District 1. I do care that Walker came in second with Robert Boyd coming in third. If Walker didn’t intend to fully challenge and give the citizens in District 1 a choice then don’t bother and waste Deathridge’s time, Boyd’s time or the citizens time. I certainly hope this was not a preconceived plan on Walker or someone else’s part.

He was a no show and then didn’t answer his phone when we tried to contact him later. No one on WBIR’s end “dropped the ball. John Becker has been moderating the program for 8 or so years.
