The 2014 July 4th Town of Farragut parade is in the books. It stepped off at 9:30 a.m. and I walked away to the car at 10:30 a.m., political season brings out the entries and this year was no exception. This year we had Hardin Valley school kids, a Karns florist, a candidate for school board that is no where close to Farragut and a Bearden High group. I guess all them people like our Farragut influence. Anyhoo.
Let’s start the review, I have correspondents all over East TN and have plans for multiple parade stories.
Farragut High School Flag Corp
Farragut High School Football Team
Farragut High School Football Coach Eddie Courtney
Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. followed by throngs of supporters
Happy ‘duh’ Clown, one of the Merry Makers from First Baptist Church Concord
Knox County Clerk Candidate Mike Padgett. His opponent was a no show
Barney needed advice from Ernest T. Bass about a potentially hazardous output spill
It appears that Barney has identified Mr. Sloan of Farragut Press as the suspect.

Scott Green, Republican Candidate for Knox County Criminal Court Judge and his entourage.
Chancellor Daryl Fansler catching up to his people to get stocked back up on fans to hand out
All I know is if somebody gets out of line, it’s boom!
State Senator Stacey Campfield doing the jig to Rocky Top while his supporters spread the good word.
My friends Wayne & Jeannie Sellars representing the Concord Farragut Republican Club. “The Boss” aka their grandson commandeered the crowds attention.
Knox County Circuit Judge Harold Wimberly, Jr. Does what Judges do, declares a winning side.
Knox County Circuit Court Judge Candidate Bill Ailor greets spectators as he volunteers cheer down the road.
Throngs?? Is That The Same As A Handful?
Dan, since I didn’t see you at the Farragut parade and saw a picture on Facebook that you were at Powell parade. I wasn’t at Powell nor did I have a correspondent there. I believe my definition will remain mine and your comment, perception or belief will be yours.
