Many people in TN’s Thirteenth State Representative district received a four page full color brochure supporting Democrat nominee Gloria Johnson. She is challenging Republican Eddie Smith in the November 4, 2014 election. Early Voting October 15 – 30, 2014.
Several interesting dynamics to this brochure stick out. First, there is not a single mention of her political party affiliation. Nothing about being a Democrat anywhere. Second, when she is asked to discuss her plan for education, she talks about jobs and equal pay. Did this “teacher” not proof read her own brochure. Third, the preprinted postage permit is a label, so the printed permit on the brochure wasn’t used, using a Nashville permit instead. Is this her legislative permit? Is the Democrat party permit? Fourth, why is she not taking pride in her Democrat party. This is a former Knox County Democrat Chair. Has she endorsed Gordon Ball for U.S. Senate? Has she endorsed Charlie Brown for Governor? When the Knox County Democrats gather for their annual Truman Day Dinner, is Charlie Brown on the Speaker list? Will he be allowed to speak or will he be shut out as the Democrat nominee for Governor of Tennessee? Lastly, the photo of her with students in a library, if this photo was taken in a Knox County School, it is in violation of this Knox County Schools Board Policy, which was first implemented in November 2012 and was recently revised in February 2014.
