Not Shocked at the latest anti-Elaine Davis story in today’s daily paper

So the daily paper, the Big Metal Shed on the Hill, a name I gave the house they once owned and now they rent. Must have been some type of corporate reverse mortgage for an old dying corporation.

Anyway, the latest alleged story promoting Elaine Davis opponent and the endorsements of the one term Representative that preceded Davis. You know the one that only got on the ballot in 2020 after voting in the Democrat Presidential Primary in March 2020 because of a State Senator, a Congressman and a County Mayor ”vouched” for him as a Republican. The State Senator and County Mayor both told me they were unaware of his March 2020 Democrat Primary vote before writing a vouching letter. Since then the Tennessee Republican Party State Executive Committee has eliminated vouching.

The endorsement of Davis opponent by a long time ago former Knox County Republican Party Chair from at least before 2003. Because i served 2005-2007 and he wasn’t my predecessor of 2003-2005.

I do respect the third person that endorsed Davis opponent. A former at Large City Council lady, whose family has been as involved in Knoxville as my four decades and two years of Republican involvement. She was Davis Republican Primary opponent, two years ago. I have had opponents, that I have lost to and opponents that I beat. It is never easy moving on after campaigns when they get as campaigns occur.

While I do respect her and consider her a friend. She and I will (hopefully) respectfully disagree on Elaine Davis re-election. I support Elaine Davis! In fact the ad on this site is being provided to Rep. Davis campaign as an in-kind donation. I base my support on what my friends in the State Capitol that work with her during session tell me their thoughts on Rep. Davis tenure has been. Those friends assure me, that District 18 needs Rep. Elaine Davis back and so I trust my friends. So I back Elaine!

I did not get to Vote in District 18 as it is not my district. I can donate in-kind and I can write about Rep. Elaine Davis just as the irrelevant daily paper can write about her opponent.
