Mrs. Wanda Foust ended her career with Knox County yesterday October 31, 2024. She worked in the Circuit, Civil Sessions Court Clerk office.
I’ve known Mrs. Wanda for a good spell. Her husband Dewey, I got to know when i into politics some 42 plus years ago. Then their oldest son Rob and I were in high school together (same graduating class)
Dewey is the first one, not the last one or the most current one to refer to me and BrianHornback.com as “the modern day Cas Walker”. Mr. Dewey passed onto his Heavenly reward on September 25, 2015.
The honor of being called, ”the modern day Cas Walker”, I do not take lightly. Cas was and is the best Knoxville has and will ever have. I hope i can come close to living up to the compliment, just like Cas, I have a lot of people that say a lot, but never to me. In Cas’s days they would be cowards, in today’s time they are still cowards.
Back to Mrs. Wanda she worked for 17 years as a faithful Knox County Clerk employee. She and Mr. Dewey raised three children, Rob, Jennifer and Ryan. They all three have their own families, Mrs. Wanda has 8 grandchildren and currently one great grandchild.
Through the years, the Foust’s have raised money for St. Judes Children’s Hospital. Mrs. Wanda after Dewey passed still raised funds for St. Judes, here is a check presentation from 2019.
Mrs. Wanda Knox County will miss you in the old Courthouse Third Floor. Enjoy your time, Love on the grandchildren and great grandchildren and THANK YOU for your service.
